Wackee Six InStUcTiOnS

An exciting, fast-paced number stockpile card game for ages 6 and up. This game is great for dates, friends, parties, couples, or the whole family.

Caution: Can be addicting.

EQUIPMENT
6 decks of cards, each with 2 WILD cards and 52 cards numbered 1-13 in 4 different colored suits. There are 6 different colors on the back of the decks; one color for each player or team. An optional playing field mat is included in case you don’t have a table and to make it easier to learn.

PLAYERS
Perfect for 2 to 12 players! Each player or partnership will have their own deck. The more players, the more Wackee the game can get. * Note: When playing as partners: Partnerships consist of 2 people but only one deck. One partner is responsible to control and play out all of the 6 cards dealt face up and the 6 that are dealt face down. The other partner is responsible for the remaining deck and tries to play out as many points (cards) as possible by going through the deck over and over, turning 3 cards at a time and playing the top card of each 3.
NOTE: If you have an odd number of players, don’t kick them out; select one of the faster players to take on the "Wackee Challenge" by opposing the other partnerships by themselves.

THE DEAL
Shuffle cards thoroughly. Each player deals 12 cards down on the table, 6 cards face up and side by side, and 6 cards face down in a single pile (you can’t look at the face down cards until they are turned over one at a time during the game. That would be cheating.? ) The remainder of the deck remains face down in the player’s hand, or is given to the partner.

OBJECT OF THE GAME
To get the most points and to be the first player or partnership to 'Go Out' and call “Wackee Six!” This is done by playing out all 12 of the main cards originally dealt to you. While that is being done, you want to turn your remaining deck as fast as you can, and play as many cards onto the crazy piles in the middle of the table as you can. This is where most of your points will come from. This game play gets really "Wackee", because no one takes "turns", everyone just plays at once.

PLAYING THE GAME
Once the cards have been dealt each team needs to decide who will handle the 12 dealt cards, and who will handle the remaining deck. Once everyone is ready, a chosen player gets to start the game by saying "Let's get Wackee!" and everyone begins to play at once. (Take turns starting the game by rotating clockwise each round.) OK, What to do First?: If you are the one handling the deck, then it is up to you to play out the most cards, so get ready and hold the deck in one hand face down and with the other hand quickly take the top 3 cards, turn them over and slap them down on the table, if you can play the 3rd card (now on top) then play it into the middle. Then do this over and over. Just keep turning your cards three cards at a time. (1-2-3 turn over, 1-2-3 turn over, etc…) and play the cards as you can. You can only play the card that is showing first. You can not dig through the cards to find the one you want. (That’s cheating!) It must come up on top to be eligible for play. Once you have played that top card of the three, THEN you can continue to play the next and the next in sequence, and so on (if they are playable). If the top showing card can not be played out on a pile, then continue turning over the next three and the next as fast as you can so that you eventually get to a card you can play. A pile can only be started by a number 1 card. You can play on any of the piles in the middle of the table. They do not need to be piles that you personally started. Play as fast as you can, because each card you play in the center will later be counted as a point. As soon as you get to the end of your deck, take the top card off and place it on the bottom, flip the deck over and start to go through the deck again, three cards at a time. (This assures a better mix) Ok, so while you keep turning those cards over, your partner (if playing teams) must watch the 6 face up cards like a hawk. As soon as possible play those cards out into the middle, on top of any started piles. You always want to play from your 6 face up cards first. You are competing with all the other players so move as fast as you can. Be sure to remind your partner which cards you are waiting for that will help you play out your 12 main cards faster. Once you play out one of the 6 cards then quickly replace it with one from your 6 face down cards. (Not from your remaining deck) You should always have 6 cards face up on the table until you run out. If you ever see a number 1 card, play it immediately, there is no limit to how many piles can be started. Once a pile is started by anyone, everyone else can then play on that pile. Once a number 1 is played, the color of that card will determine the color of that pile. The pile color can not be changed once started. So you only play blue on blue, green on green etc.. Piles are only built upwards from 1-13 in sequence, 1 number at a time. No skipping. Once the 13 has been played the pile is considered "Wacked", or closed. It is then ignored until the end of the game when they are separated and counted for points. (Move "Wacked" piles aside if more room is needed.) Note: WILD cards may replace any color and any number EXCEPT the number 1. A WILD card must be accompanied by the next consecutive number; they can not be played alone. If you do not have the next card in sequence then you can not use the WILD card yet. Also, you do not have to fight other players to play on top of your own WILD card, you are given a freebee. No one but you or your partner can play on top of your WILD. So if you are waiting to play a 4, then as soon as you see a 2 come available, you can slap down your WILD card as if it were the 3 then you must follow it up with a 4 of that color. Get it? (This game really increases your motor skills and makes you think faster.)

*Note. IN CASE OF A TIE during play. If two or more players seem to have played a card on the pile at the same time, you get to slap each other. JUST KIDDING! Do not hurt each other, argue, and do not pout. Simply look at the back of the card that is on the very bottom and the color will determine who won the tie. If your card is under the other legitimately then you get to keep it there and the other player must take back their card and try again for another pile. If both cards are equally flat on the table then both must pick up the cards and neither gets to play on that pile.

FINISHING A ROUND
The moment, yes the very instant, you have played all 12 of the main cards dealt to you, scream "Wackee Six!" and the play stops. NO MORE CARDS CAN BE PLAYED! Only the cards that have become airborne prior to hearing "Wackee Six!" will count! Cards that you sneak in later do not count and must be taken back silly!
Important: For scoring purposes, do not mix all the cards together until everything is sorted out. Keep your remaining deck out of the mix. Also be sure you are clear how many of your 12 main cards are left un-played or else other players will be mad because those must count against you.

SCORING
First count up the cards that count against you. Each of the 12 main cards, left unplayed from the original deal, will count as 2 points against you. Now turn all the cards in the middle of the table over so they are face down. This makes it easy to separate the cards into player colors. Return the cards in each color, back to the player or team using that deck color. Count up how many cards you or your team played and add 1 point to your score for each card played. Bonus: There is a 10-point bonus each round for the player or partnership who was first to go out by saying "Wackee Six!"

PLAYING ANOTHER ROUND
At the end of each round just deal a fresh 12 cards to each player or team and keep playing until you reach an agreed upon target score. 300points is a good number if you can’t come up with one. But play as long as your time permits and have fun.
